STATE Grill and Bar offers an elegant addition to the newly renovated Empire State Building. Echoing the Empire State Building's striking aesthetics, the interior features a balanced design of art deco and modern architecture. Guests can watch their food being prepared in the open kitchen by Chef Octavio Becerra, whose inspiration is the Empire State and its bounty of market ingredients from the Hudson Valley to the North Fork. Locally-sourced dishes harken back to the way food used to be prepared – from a modern chef’s point of view.

Settle into a leather-trimmed booth and enjoy warm bread with fresh butter churned in-house, try a succulent Grilled Berkshire Pork Chop with stone-ground grits and dandelion greens, or a Lamb T-Bone with romesco and eggplant. For vegetable lovers, there’s green salads and beyond: an Onion-Tomato Tart with cloumage ricotta, Linguine with oyster mushrooms, and a superbly caramelized and charred Cauliflower Steak.
