NYC Talent Show is a fantastic, zany and historical off-off-Broadway, ongoing, no-holds-barred open mic that features celebrity guests such as Jim Gaffigan, Janeane Garofalo, Jessica Kirson and more.

The show originated at Bowery Poetry Club in the early 2000s, and was hosted by the fabulously weird, infamous O’Debra Twins. Since then, noted comedian, illustrator and entrepreneur Victor Varnado has taken the show over and hosts and presents it from the lower east side’s beloved Slipper Room venue.

The concept is fun and silly: anyone can get on stage and is granted a few minutes to do whatever they want to—this leads to lots of off the cuff delights and surprises (plus a “credit” of having shared the stage with known celebs!).
